The story of Joni Tada Earackson is an unforgettable one. At the tender age of 17, Joni had a life shattering accident that left her totally paralyzed from shoulder down. All her hopes,dreams and aspirations were buried in a State of helplessness and despondance by that experience. It left her depressed, bitter and confused with more questions than answers. But Joni, with the help of God, was not only able to overcome her depression, she ended up living a life of purpose.

Today, permanently confined to a wheelchair. Able to move to only her back and head, Joni Eareckson has developed into as skillful  artisit using her mouth. She is also a speaker, writer and married to a wonderful husband.

You can come out of any negative situation if you choose to. Your attitude determines your altitude. 

Remember, you are not the first to lose a job, a business, had an accident, financial crisis,betrayal or a disappointments.

The road to a good place is not necessarily a good one. Life's journey is full of pot holes,flat tire,traffic jams, red lights, knocks engines and so forth.

Those should not be enough reasons to cut your journey short, Joni said " though I spend my mortal  lifetime in this chair, I refuse to waste it living in despair " A wheelchair may confine a body but it cannot imprison the mined. " a sick mined cannot endure any hardship ".  Latin Proverb.

Your mined is the number one asset you have. Use it. You shouldn't keep on nurturing dead things and keeping bad memories. You can't afford to live the rest of your life playing the blame game. Enough of blameing yourself, society and others for your predicaments. Set yourself free.

If you keep your yesterday alive you will kill your today and destroys your tomorrow. Talk less of your yesterday darkness and stop sleeping in bed with dead issues.

You can always have a new beginning, no matter where you are. There's ways out. You can pick the remaining pieces of your life and still move forward." For to him that is join unto the living there is hope . for a living dog is better than a dead lion"

You might have lost some things, but you are not dead yet. Stop complaining and start  living. Inspit  of what you have been through, there's an awesome potential  in you, don't waste it. The world has not yet seen the best of you.

A slave yesterday can become a king today. A prisoner yesterday can become a president today. Don't give up on yourself. Don't limit the size of your hope. Keep your hope alive

HOPE IS THE CONFIDENT EXPECTATIONS OF FUTURE GOOD. IT IS BELIEVED THAT SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN TO YOU. HOPE IS HAVING A LITTLE LIGHT IN THE DARK TUNNEL OF OUR FRUSTRATED MINDS. IT IS THE PROJECTION OF OUR IMAGINATIONS BEYOND OUR PRESENT PAINS.

Adversity break some men but others break records with it. You can turn your liability into assets. The truth is all of us are disabled in some ways but you can't excel in life by majoring in your disabilities.

No man can make you feel inferior without your consent

Your story must not finish on a sad note. The secret is, no matter what happens. Never allow your memories to be greater than your dreams. Evan a tree has hope when it cut-off because Sooners or later you see it sprouting again.

Keep your life alive. When you lose hope. Life becomes nothing but a meaningless existence. Many are living far beyond their potential simply because they have lost hope. The tragedy is that some even commit suicide. Remember, all the water in the world cannot drown you until it gets inside you
